The Therapy Access Project
Are a Black queer and/or trans person in need of financial support to pay for individual or group therapy?
The Therapy Access Project provides crisis support mini-grants to help Black queer and trans folks access therapy services, in partnership with Contributing Providers and Practices. One initiative of the Access Project provides financial support up to 6 sessions of therapy (up to $100 per session).
In order to apply, you will need to:
Identify as a Black Queer and/or Trans Person,
Live in the states of Pennsylvania or New Jersey,
50% of mini-grants are allocated to applicants residing in the Philadelphia Metro Area
Have or find a therapist who is authorized to practice in either PA or NJ and agrees to participate in this program, and
Applicants are required to share the T.A.P. Provider Welcome Letter with their chosen therapist
Require financial assistance to pay for mental health therapy
